To Those I Love and Those Who Love Me

When I am gone, release me, let me go,
I have so many things to see and do.
You mustn’t tie yourself to me in tears,
Be happy that we had so many years.
I gave you my love, I can only guess,
How much you gave me in happiness.
I thank you for the love you each have shown,
But now it’s time we travel on alone.
So grieve for awhile for me if grieve you must,
Then let your grief be comforted by trust.
It’s only for awhile that we must part,
So bless the memories within your heart.
I won’t be far away, for life goes on,
So if you need me I will come.
Though you can’t see or touch me, I’ll be near,
And if you listen with your heart, you’ll hear,
All of my love around you soft and clear.
And then when you must come this way alone,
I’ll greet you with a smile and, “Welcome Home”.

Dear Mom

March 21 would have been your 80th birthday. We wish with all our hearts that you could be here with us to celebrate it. We thought by now the sadness of your leaving would have diminished. We don't think it ever will. You were too much a part of our lives to have a few years wipe away the memories of being with you. And since we can't forget we'd like to wish you a Happy Birthday. You were a very special lady and a great mother. The one thing you really liked for your birthday was cards so here's a few:
